With balanced hands, (1-4-4-4) or (2-3-4-4)

 

- 06-10 HCP, 1NT then make preference

- 10-12 HCP, 1NT then 2NT; with 11-12 HCP and good stoppers bid 3NT after openers rebid

- 13-15 HCP, bid lowest four card minor then 2NT, if no fit in opener’s second suit
- 16-17 HCP, bid lowest four card minor then 3NT, if no fit in opener’s second suit
- 18-19 HCP, bid lowest four card minor then 2NT, if no fit in opener’s second suit
- 20-21 HCP, bid lowest four card minor then 2NT, if no fit in opener’s second suit

 

With five spades

 

- 5+ HCP, bid 1ª over 1©

 

With five card lowest suit


- 6-10 HCP, bid 1NT then make preference
- 10-12 HCP, bid 1NT then 2NT or support opener’s second suit usually with five cards
- 13+ HCP, bid two level first, with good suit 12 HCP possible

 

With six card minor suit

 

- 5-10 HCP, bid 1NT then make preference or rebid six card suit

- 10-12 HCP, bid two level then repeat suit
- 12+ HCP, bid two level then don't repeat suit, If opener shows strength, repeat suit also game-forcing

 

With six hearts

 

- 5-10 HCP, bid 1NT then rebid 2©

- 10-12 HCP, bid 3©, game invitation
- 12+ HCP, bid two level then repeat

 

Opener rebids, after 1NT response

 

- With (5-4) distributions rebid four cards; jump approx. 19 HCP

- With six cards repeat suit; jump with 16-18 HCP

- With six spades and four hearts, rebid hearts

- With six card major and four card minor, rebid major with very minimum opening

- With (5-3-3-2) and 12-17 HCP rebid lowest three card minor; if opener make a preference, then bid

  2NT with 16-17 HCP. Rebid 2NT with 18-19 HCP and rebid 3NT with approx. 20 HCP.
